Medical Alert is a Randolph EMC program that recognizes members with special medical
needs. The program was created to help ensure careful handling of accounts where the
disconnection of electric service for a past-due bill could adversely affect the well being
of an occupant.
Participation in the program does NOT mean your power will not be disconnected for nonpayment
or interrupted due to an outage. Also, when there is a major outage, participation does NOT mean
that you will be the first to have power restored. Randolph EMC encourages our members
with medical needs to make preparations in advance for extended outages due to storms.
To participate in this program, you should contact one of our two offices and request a
medical alert form that must be completed and signed by a physician. The physician's office
will forward the completed form to Randolph EMC. The account(s) will be coded with the
Medical Alert code.
