Electronic Bill Payment

Dear Valued Randolph EMC Member:
If you have recently received an email from BIS with your
Customer Identification Number(CIN) and new login instructions
for our new bill payment website the following information
applies to you.
If you have NOT received your CIN (Customer Identification Number),
please contact our Asheboro or Robbins office for that information.
Randolph EMC would like to inform you of some exciting
upcoming changes that will affect all members who view
and pay their bills online. Beginning on Monday, March 16,
2009 at 8:00 A.M., a NEW online website will be available
where you can view and pay your bills online.
The address of the new website (URL) is
http://randolph.utilityflex.com.
If you currently have the “BillQ” address (the current website you are using to view/pay bills online) in your web browser’s Favorites or Bookmarks, please be advised that the link will very soon become deactivated after March 16.
In order to view and pay your bills online through the
new online payment website, you must set up a new account. Your existing login information will not be valid with the new site. In order to setup a new account you will need the following information:
CIN(Customer Indentification No) – (Located in the upper left corner of your bill)
Account/Location No - (Located in the upper left corner of your bill)
We hope you will enjoy using the new online website.
- New ways in which your online account is set up and identified
The online account will be set up under a new identifier called “CIN Number” rather than the “Account Number” you used for your old login.
Each Member has a unique CIN Number, and each service location is
assigned an Account Number. On your new Randolph EMC bill, you
will notice that it shows a “CIN No.” and an “Account No.”.
Think of the CIN Number as identifying you as a person
(the Randolph EMC Member) and the Account Number as identifying
the place where you receive electric service from Randolph EMC
(e.g. your house, business, etc.). During the process to set
up your new account, you will create a User Name. From that
point forward, you will be able to use either your User Name or
CIN Number to log in to your account.
- Members with multiple service locations
Because the distinction has now been made between the
Member and the service location, it will become much more
convenient for Members connected to more than one service
location to view and manage their billing information
online. As a Member connected to multiple locations, you
will now be able to access your billing information
through ONE online account. Once your new account is set
up using your CIN Number, the billing information for all
of your service locations will be accessible under this
account. As a result, you will be allowed pick and choose
which bills you want to pay all from the same screen,
edit Profile information for each individual location,
and more!
- Real-Time Information
Our new online payment system will now be more accurate
and up-to-date than ever before. You will be able to view
all your payments (through the mail, over the counter, or
online) from the website. For instance, if you come to one
of our offices and make a payment, your online account will
be updated to reflect this payment within seconds.
- New Choices
Until now, if you wanted to sign up for an online account
with REMC, you were required to forfeit your chance to
receive a bill in the mail in favour of receiving an
electronic version of the bill through e-mail. While you
will still be required to choose between Electronic and Paper
bill delivery, you will now have the choice to continue
receiving a paper version of your bill in the mail even
though you have set up an online account. Your bills will
be available for viewing online regardless of whether you
choose Electronic or Paper delivery.
