Request Assistance from People Helping People

People Helping People (PHP) funds are made available through contributions from participating co-op members by “rounding up” their monthly bills to the next dollar each month. Individuals or families who are Randolph EMC members or local organizations that serve Randolph EMC territory are eligible to request assitance. Donations are not guaranteed and those requesting assistance should note that organizations are limited to one donation per year, and individuals or families are limited to one donation every five years.

A Board of Directors for the PHP organization reviews requests for assistance quarterly. Their meetings are scheduled in the following months:

  • January
  • April
  • July
  • October

The funding is typically used to address CRUCIAL needs such as food, clothing, shelter, and medical care. Though donations are not limited to these needs, funds are not to be used toward electric bills—the cooperative does not wish for PHP to be a self-serving charitable organization.

To apply for funds, interested members or organizations will need to complete a one-on-one assessment, usually by phone. Please fill out the form below to have a representative contact you about your request for assistance.
