Severe weather can wreak havoc on the thousands of miles of lines that supply power to your homes and businesses. Randolph EMC works year-round to deliver reliable power to our members and is always on call to respond quickly to restore power in outage situations. Storm Response We are better prepared than ever to respond to power outages. REMC's Outage Management System provides us with access to real-time information and enables us to troubleshoot and repair outages faster. Calls are automatically mapped in the system using Geographic Information Systems and software is often able to immediately track an outage cause to a specific device. When the forecast calls for severe weather, crews begin making preparations to restore extensive outages by stocking trucks and our warehouses have needed supplies, This way, when a crew is dispatched to handle an outage, they can do so efficiently. Randolph EMC works with local radio and TV stations to provide updates on outage situations throughout the weather event.
