Medical Alert

In order to best meet your needs, we'd like to be aware if you or any of the members of your household are dependent on electrical, in-home, life-sustaining equipment. Examples of such devices include dialysis machines, oxygen concentrators or oxygen machines, cardiac monitors, etc.

Please contact your local office about obtaining a Medical Alert form. A physician must fill out the form and return it to Randolph EMC at P.O. Box 40, Asheboro, NC 27204.
In the event of planned electrical outages, members on life-support will be contacted and made aware of the date, time and estimated duration of the outage so that they can make necessary arrangements. During unplanned outages, we make crews aware of the Medical Alert at that location. It is very important that members using this equipment have an emergency back-up plan for maintaining its operation. Depending on the extent of the outage, power could be out for extended amounts of time.
Also, if you have previously completed a Medical Alert form and no longer have special medical needs, please contact your local office to make us aware of this change.
