Returning to Normal Business Operations
In March, Randolph EMC temporarily suspended late fees and service disconnections due to nonpayment of bills. Following REMC’s voluntary suspension, Governor Roy Cooper also issued executive orders that placed a moratorium on utility disconnections that expired July 29, 2020.
We understand many members may be facing financial difficulties because of COVID-19. Randolph EMC is extending members a grace period on disconnections to allow time to reduce their past-due balances. Members should use this time to contact a member service specialist to develop a COVID-19 Payment Plan that fits their needs. Any past due balances that remain after the grace period will be automatically enrolled in a payment plan.
During this unprecedented time, we are here to help. Please take a look at the list of Frequently Asked Questions below. If you have any questions not covered here, please give our member service specialists a call at (336) 625-5177 in Asheboro or at (910) 948-3401 in Robbins between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. We appreciate your cooperation.
